Change Variable Document Entitlement

Explanation

This activity is used to define access rights to variable data parameter documents in the Variable Data window for employees other than those who have access on a daily basis. Changing entitlement for a variable data document may be useful in situations where employees with a supervisory role are absent. In such situations, changed entitlement ensures that their deputies can continuously perform operations. 

Prerequisites

In order to grant access rights to other employees in a variable data document, the document is required to be registered in the system and proper data security levels should be setup for other employees.

Procedure

1. Open the Variable Data window and find the variable data parameter document to which you want to grant access for other employees.
2. Go to the Access Rights tab.
3. Select the Grant Option check box in order to start granting access rights,
4. In the Inherited Access Rights field, specify an employee to whom the access rights are given. Alternatively, you can select the employee from the list of values.
5. Save the information.
