Configure Absence Import Template

Explanation

This activity is used to create a template needed by the IFS Application to import information from an external text file: a text document consisting of raw data related to absences, separated by semicolons. Such text files are produced by other programs, and so their structure can vary. The import template is a set of instructions for the IFS application on how to read and import this raw data. The number of records in the template has to match the number of values in each line of the text file. The Seq No field specifies in what order the values are listed in a single line of the text file, and the Field Name field classifies those values as information used by the IFS application, e.g., employee number, document date, or absence duration.
