Define Constant Data Import Settings

Explanation

This activity is used to define settings for an import document for constant data. Introducing or adjusting settings for the import ensures that the location of the import file as well as the way in which the data is imported and any errors notified is known to the user.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a constant data import document with import definition is required to be registered in the system.

Procedure

1. Open the Constant Data Import window and find a document with definition for which you want to define the import settings.
2. Go to the Document tab in order to define the import settings.
3. Specify an ID and name for the constant data parameter document to which the import will take place in the Document Number and Document Name fields.
4. Select the external information source in the Latest Imported File field.
5. In the Line Parameters section, specify the way the import will take place using such criteria as: Separated By, If Error and Import Method.
6. Save the information.
