Define Calculating Formula

Explanation

This activity is used to define a calculating formula for a wage code. The wage code can include several such formulas which serve calculating a value of employee's work and benefits. The formulas in the wage code must be compliant with local regulations and standards and should reflect provisions of the labor code.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a wage code is required to be registered in the system.

Procedure

  1. Open the Wage Code window and find a wage code for which you want to define a calculating formula.
  2. In the Details, right-click and click Formulas.
  3. In the Calculating Formulas window, create a new record in order to add a new formula to the wage code.
  4. In the Seq No field, specify a number for line in which the formula will be put.
  5. Specify an ID for the function you want to use for the calculation in the Function Id field. You can also use the list of values. Note that functions are hard-coded and predefined.
  6. See the number of parameters required by the function in the Number of Parameters field and guidelines for entering parameters in the Remarks field.
  7. Enter parameters as appropriate in the Parameters List field. Note that parameters are separated by semicolons.
  8. Save the information.
  9. If you want to check the correctness of the defined formula, right-click and click Check Formulas. In case of any errors, an error screen will be displayed. Note that the result for formula calculation is always in the last line.
