Define Parameters for Absence Base Type

Explanation

This activity is used to define parameters for the absence calculation base type. When the Absence Base Type ID is used during payroll calculation, values defined for the absence base type will be used (overwriting overlapping default absence type values). This allows for a single parameter to return different values depending on the absence base type used.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the Absence Calculation Base Type ID has to be created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a set of parameter values will be defined and used whenever the Absence Base Type ID is used during payroll calculation.

Procedure

  1. Open the Absence Calculation Base Type window.
  2. Search or populate to find the relevant Type ID.
  3. In the table, add a new record.
  4. In the Parameter Type field, select a parameter type. This should be a parameter that should have a value based on Absence Base Type and not Absence Type.
  5. In the Parameter Value Type field, select a possible value type of the parameter. The list of available types changes based on the type selected in step 4.
  6. In the Value field, enter a value that will overwrite the Absence Type parameter value during payroll calculation.
  7. If you want to define more records, go to step 3.
  8. Save your changes.
