Define Category Header and Footer Properties
Explanation
This activity is used to define properties of a header and footer of a
document template. Header and footer properties are set for each separate line.
There is a set of default properties loaded for every line, but you can change
it to customize your header/footer settings.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, header or footer has to be defined for a
document template.

As a result of this activity, properties of header and/or footer will be
changed.

Procedure
- Open the Document Basic Data window and navigate to the
Document Templates tab.
- Search or populate to find the relevant document template.
- Navigate to the Header/Footer tab.
- To access properties of a line, right-click it and click Line
Properties. A dialog box will open containing all properties of a
selected line.
Note: You can select multiple lines and click Line Properties
to change properties of several lines at once.
- Select a property you want to change.
- In the Value field, select a new value for the property. Use the
list.
Following properties are available:
- Export - All lines marked with this property will be exported to
the external export file. If set to No, the lines will be omitted.
- Export If Null - If set to No, a line will not be included
in the external export file if its value is null. If the property is
set to Yes, they will be exported with a null value.
- Xml Line - If set to Yes, it creates a tag for contents of
the line. The tag is defined in the Document Templates window,
on the Document Templates/Header/Footer tab, in the Xml Tag
field. If set to No, tag will not be created.
Note: This property is valid only if document's way of export is set
to Xml.
- Click OK.
Note: If you are changing multiple lines, select All selected
lines in the Applies To area.
- Save the information.
Note: To properties of all header and footer lines, you can
right-click the header of the Document Templates tab and click
Document Parameters Overview. On the Template Properties
window that will open navigate to Header or Footer
tab and follow instructions from step 6.
