Grant Access to User-Defined Functions

Explanation

This activity is used to allow a data access group to create and modify user-defined functions. All members of such a group will be able to modify and create functions in the Document Basic Data window, on the User Functions tab.

User functions are written in PLSQL and can be used during document generation. They can fetch or process data in non-standard ways that are not available by default.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a data access group has to be registered in the system

System Effects

As a result of this activity, members of a data access group will be able to create and modify user-defined functions.

Procedure

  1. Open the Data Security window.
  2. Search or populate to find a relevant access group ID.
  3. On the Miscellaneous tab, add a new record.
  4. In the Access Item field, select User Functions. Use the list of values.
  5. Select the Is Enabled check-box.
    Note: This check-box can be cleared in order to quickly disable access to a user group without deleting the record.
  6. Save the information.
