Define Payroll Data Transfer Header

Explanation

This activity is used to define a header for the payroll data transfer. The header definition is the first step in creating the transfer. In this step, the payroll data not used currently is moved to a storage area in the application. When transferred, the data can be viewed, but cannot be used. One transfer header can be used for several types of payroll data transfers.

Procedure

1. Open the Data Transfer window.
2. Create a new record in order to start defining a new transfer header.
3. Specify a unique ID for the transfer in the Transfer Def Id field.
4. In the Name field, enter a name for the transfer.
5. Enter any additional information regarding the transfer in the Remarks field.
6. Save the information.
