Applying standard patches, updates, as well as customizations, or adding a new component to your system are tasks that can be categorized as maintenance of the system. All these things are done by making deliveries. A delivery is a set of assembled/compiled files deployed into the system using the IFS Applications installer. A delivery is typically prepared using IFS Solution Developer (ISD), but it is also possible to prepare a delivery manually (though it requires deeper knowledge of the IFS Applications build, compile, deliver and deploy process). IFS Configuration Builder can be used to set up the delivery structure, but your still need to perform some manual steps to finalize the delivery before deployment.
